When was the last time I had french toast??? It’s been wayyyy to long! Growing up french toast was always my favorite breakfast food on the weekends and I decided I wanted to relive that. But not exactly in the same way… We are making french toast vegan style!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp. Garbanzo bean flour
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
1 tbsp. Chia Seeds
1 tbsp. Flax Seeds
Few Dashes of Nutmeg
Your Choice of Bread (I used Ezekiel)
Pure Maple Syrup
Coconut Oil for pan
Any toppings you’d like! I topped mine off with a banana!
Directions:
Combine all your ingredients besides the bread and maple syrup in a mixing bowl. Preheat a pan on medium with your oil in it. Whisk together to create your dipping mixture. Let sit a couple minutes to thicken a bit. Then dip your bread into it, covering both sides and transfer them to your pan. Cook each side until brown. Move the french toast to your plate, add your toppings and grab a fork! It’s breakfast time!
